The Role:
The Senior Accountant role is broad, hands-on, and ideal for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility. You will play a key part in supporting clients while contributing to internal team priorities. Strong time management and a proactive approach are essential, as you will be balancing client-facing work with team-based tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Duties will include:
* Preparation of financial statements.
* Taxation, compliance and business advisory work for companies, trusts, sole traders and partnerships.
* Act as a key point of contact for clients and develop and manage effective client relationships.
* Achieve and accurately track billable targets, ensuring client work is completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
* Support and provide guidance to team members, including the training and development of junior staff.
About You:
* At least 5 years in public practice accounting in Australia.
* CPA/CA qualified (preferred).
* Excellent knowledge of the Australian taxation system.
* Strong communication and time management skills.
* Drive for continuous professional development.
* Willingness to learn and train junior team members.
* Experience with Xero and XPM.
