This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026.
The Role
Join an enthusiastic, collaborative HPE team at Kalgoorlie‐Boulder Community High School (KBCHS), where you will have the opportunity to teach across a range of engaging courses including Outdoor Education, Sport Science, and Sport Development classes in AFL, Basketball, Netball, and Soccer. Your program will support student learning, foster a vibrant sporting culture, and contribute to student success within a close‐knit school community.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and delivering a relevant secondary school HPE curriculum that supports diverse learner needs.
* Building productive working relationships with students, educators, and support staff to improve student outcomes.
* Implementing innovative teaching practices and integrating information technology into lessons.
* Leading sports camps and participating in major events such as Country Week District High School (DHS).
* Reflectively adapting practice based on data literacy and identified student needs.

Mobility Appointments for Permanent, Metropolitan and South West Teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school, may elect to undertake this role as a 3‐year mobility appointment with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3‐year appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school. Note that south west teachers are not eligible to move to another south west school under this trial.
