We’re on the lookout for a proactive, compassionate, and motivated Outreach Worker to join our Port Augusta crew. This is a casual role, reporting to the Team Leader, and covered under the SCHADS Award Level 4 .
What You’ll Do
* Connect with at-risk Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal young people – be a safe presence and offer support when it matters most
* Drive young people to safety, programs, or appointments – you’ll be their trusted support on the road
* Build genuine, respectful relationships that empower young people to make their own choices
* Help clients access the services they need and back them up through advocacy
* Become a mentor – guide, listen, and support through life’s tough stuff
* Work within our proven Youth Services Model of Care and help shape better outcomes
* Keep assessing risk, safety, and wellbeing – always keeping your clients front and centre
Who You Are
* You’re a people person who genuinely cares about young people and community
* You know how to connect, listen without judgement, and offer support that makes sense
* You’re flexible, reliable, and thrive in dynamic environments
* Bonus points if you’ve got experience in community services, youth work, or similar fields
You Will Have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)
* Working with Children Check
* Drivers Licence
* First Aid or willingness to obtain
* Through Their Eyes (Reporting Abuse and Neglect)
* A national police record check is required
