Management Accountant
Location: Hazelmere, Western Region, Perth, Australia.
Type: Full time.
Reporting to the Finance Lead, you will support the Western Region Infrastructure Services Team with day‐to‐day accounting and reporting functions, and provide advice, insight and analysis to operational and management teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
* Month‐end and year‐end reporting, including processing journal entries, joint‐venture entries and preparing profit and loss statements.
* Assist project teams with financial reporting activities.
* Lead the region's Fringe Benefits Tax return preparation.
* Assist the Regional Finance Manager in reporting regional financial performance against KPIs.
* Provide coaching and training to team members, engineers and managers.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
* Intermediate experience in an accountancy role, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, engineering or professional services sectors.
* Strong analytical skills, reviewing and critiquing financial information, with advanced Excel proficiency.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage professionally at all levels and build relationships both externally and internally.
* Effective time‐management, prioritising tasks and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
* CA/CPA qualification highly regarded.
* Background in commercial awareness and financial acumen, balancing strategic and operational activities.
* Leadership skills and ability to challenge norms to establish best‐practice systems and procedures.
