About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
You will work closely with the production and maintenance teams to enhance efficiency, minimize downtime, and maintain product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Follow production plans to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets by optimizing resource allocation, including machinery and labour.
Provide technical support and training to operators on machine setup, troubleshooting, and efficiency optimization.
Optimize and oversee the operation of plant machinery including encapsulation, tablet compression, and packing machines to ensure efficient production.
Monitor and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
Monitor and troubleshoot machine failures on the production lines, diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the maintenance department to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for machines, enhancing equipment reliability and lifespan.
Coordinate with maintenance to identify critical spare parts and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent production downtime.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize manufacturing and packaging processes, focusing on waste reduction and efficiency improvement.
Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and production bottlenecks, applying engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes and machine troubleshooting, ensuring clarity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing production lines.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (pharmaceutical, food, or FMCG industry preferred).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
