Job summary: Looking for candidates available to work: Monday: Morning Tuesday: Morning Wednesday: Morning Thursday: Morning 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $73,000 - $75,000 per year Create Estate is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-end custom bed heads and bases, handcrafting beautiful pieces from our factory on the Sunshine Coast. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team at Warana. If you have some upholstery, industrial sewing or motor trimming experience, we’d love to hear from you! Responsibilities: Upholstery: Apply upholstery techniques to make bed heads and bed frames often including framing, foaming, cutting and fitting. Experience is highly desirable. Fabric Handling: Work with a variety of fabrics including leather, velvet, linen and more Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet our quality standards and are packed with all required parts Collaboration: Work closely with designers, upholsterers and other team members to assist with quoting on occasion Dispatch: Assembly and packing of finished jobs ready for dispatch as required Industrial Sewing experience is ideal but not essential, including: making cut plans, cutting, overlocking and sewing. Skills: Experience in an upholstery setting Proven use of hand tools including drop saws, mitre saws, drills and routers. Attention to detail and pride in your work Team player with a positive attitude Basic communication skills and a strong desire to get hands-on and learn What We Offer: Competitive salary based on your experience, with opportunities to grow as you develop your skills.
