About the role
* Support the wellbeing and dignity of residents by providing high-quality food service that meets their individual needs and preferences.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve meals according to the Chef's instructions in a timely and efficient manner.
* Deliver meals in a respectful and person-centred way that supports resident independence and choice.
* Maintain accurate dietary records and report any discrepancies to ensure resident safety.
* Collaborate with the care team to gather feedback and support special events that promote resident engagement and satisfaction.
* Assist colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a supportive team environment that values communication and respect.
Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Food Safety or related field (desired).
* Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
* Warm, empathetic communication skills and experience engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Professional and respectful approach to residents, families and carers.
* A commitment to upholding the dignity, values and spiritual beliefs of those in care.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
