**Financial Controller
APAC | Global FMCG Brand | Sydney-Based**
This is a standout opportunity for a seasoned finance leader to step into a Financial Controller, APAC role with a global FMCG powerhouse. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll lead a high-performing team and play a key role in shaping the financial success of the business across the Asia-Pacific region.
As Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for driving financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence across multiple entities. You'll oversee reporting, governance, and cashflow while providing critical insights to the ELT and Board. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a team of 6, partner cross-functionally, and make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead financial and transactional accounting across APAC, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Oversee P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations, tax, statutory reporting, and CAPEX.
* Provide timely and precise financial reporting, insights, and recommendations to the ELT and Board.
* Manage cashflow, foreign exchange exposure, and banking relationships.
* Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and controls.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six finance professionals.
* Partner closely with the Commercial Finance team to support business growth.
What You'll Bring
* CA/CPA with 7+ years' post-qualification experience in a controllership or senior finance leadership role.
* Strong technical financial and compliance background, ideally gained in FMCG or a similar fast-paced sector.
* Track record of balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
* Strong systems expertise (ERP, Power BI, Business Central advantageous).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
