The Role:The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by expanding the client base, developing and executing effective sales strategies, and fostering long-term relationships with clients to achieve sustainable financial growth, while representing the company with in-depth knowledge of products and services, managing customer quotes, orders, warranty claims, accessory quotations, and after-sales care inquiries to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities: Customer Relationship ManagementDevelop, foster, and maintain strong relationships with customers and stockists by managing enquiries, complaints, and after-sales support, ensuring clear communication and timely updates on orders and service issues.
Sales and Business DevelopmentIdentify market opportunities, conduct research, meet prospective and existing clients, promote products and services, and drive growth strategies focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Sales Planning and PerformancePrepare financial projections, set and track sales targets, forecast growth, and generate sales reports to inform decision-making and strategy.
Order and Enquiry ManagementMonitor, expedite, and resolve order-related issues—including technical, fitment, paint, freight, or production—by liaising with relevant internal departments before confirming orders.
Internal Communication and CoordinationCommunicate customer requirements, priorities, and feedback clearly to relevant personnel to ensure alignment and efficient handling of orders and enquiries.
Sales AdministrationPrepare accurate sales documents such as quotations, sales contracts, and warranty invoices; ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Event Participation and PromotionRepresent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and sales meetings; deliver presentations and contribute to marketing and promotional strategies.
Reporting and Record KeepingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, sales, revenue, and invoices.
Team Development and TrainingTrain and mentor sales and business development staff; identify knowledge gaps and create development plans to build a high-performing team.

About You: Sales and Customer Service ExperienceDemonstrated experience in business development, sales and customer support, with a proven sales track record and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Industry and Market KnowledgeSound understanding of manufacturing processes, capabilities, and limitations, along with solid market awareness relevant to the role.
Strong Interpersonal and Communication SkillsAble to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, stockists, and colleagues at all levels; skilled in negotiation, dispute resolution, and rapport building.
Teamwork and CollaborationProven ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Time Management and Organisational SkillsStrong planning and time management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
