Job Overview
This role involves providing high-level financial expertise and transaction support to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interrogate financial models for financing mandates, create and run sensitivities, and verify integrity.
* Provide day-to-day transaction support: structuring, pricing, preparing credit applications, detailed financial analysis, and due diligence.
* Prepare, customize, optimize, and maintain financial models for advisory mandates, running scenarios and sensitivities.
* Review and supervise junior staff modeling tasks and complete complex modeling where required.
* Stay abreast of sector developments and current market transactions.
* Respect compliance practices and internal requirements for advisory and lending transactions.
* Manage internal processes related to lending and advisory (e.g., update databases, write credit applications, complete system-based processes).
* Identify potential marketing opportunities and prepare pitch materials, including feasibility studies and detailed model analysis.
* Build a network of contacts at key clients and prospects.
* Supervise and develop junior team members, delegating appropriate tasks and maintaining high-quality execution.
Requirements:
* University degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law, or a professional financial qualification.
* Experience in a structured finance environment using similar tools, processes, and procedures.
* Proven success in a similar role through relevant projects, responsibilities, or achievements.
* Post-graduate qualifications considered favorably.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial modeling abilities.
* Experience generating clear, structured, compelling pitch material addressing client needs.
* Strong numerical skills with an advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, and cash flows.
