Northeast Auto Group is seeking a reliable and hands on Grounds / Maintenance Officer to maintain the presentation, cleanliness and safety of our Burton site, with occasional support required at Hampstead Gardens.
About The Role
This role is responsible for the overall upkeep of our yard, gardens and external facilities. You will play a key part in ensuring our property remains safe, clean and well presented at all times.
* Maintain yard and workshop cleanliness, tidiness and litter management
* Operate the yard sweeper to clean paved and bitumen areas
* Mow and maintain grass along internal and external boundaries
* Spray weeds and maintain garden beds, flowerboxes and palm trees
* Clean external windows, verandas, stairwells and balconies
* Empty and manage bin areas across multiple buildings
* Steam clean floors and wash down working surfaces as required
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times
* Manage WHS and environmental hazards in the workplace and off site when required
* Operate forklifts safely in line with procedures
* Read and interpret Material Data Safety Sheets when handling hazardous materials
* Complete allocated tasks within required timeframes and communicate with your supervisor regarding priorities or issues
* Undertake other lawful and reasonable duties as directed
You will be required to move between areas including Isuzu Main Office, Engineering, Paint Shop, Event Garden and yard spaces to ensure daily and weekly maintenance tasks are completed.
About You
* Forklift licence or ability to obtain
* Heavy Rigid truck licence highly regarded
* Technical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to notice hazards or maintenance concerns
* Comfortable performing physical duties including lifting, climbing and bending in a safe manner
* Good eye hand coordination and the ability to safely operate equipment and vehicles
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
* First Aid Certificate highly regarded
