About The Role
The Paediatric Nurse Practitioner/Transitional Nurse Practitioner utilises their expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice. They are an integral member of the health care team who practices in collaboration with other health professionals to assess and manage paediatric patients within their clinical context using nursing knowledge and skills.
This role contributes to departments, the organisation and the community through involvement in education, research, quality improvement and professional leadership. A registered nurse in transitional role will undertake supervised practice, whilst working towards endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
About You
You will need to hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current practising certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or working towards as a Nurse Practitioner with the ability to complete all requirements within 2 years. Evidence of relevant paediatric and neonatal clinical expertise, high degree of knowledge and the ability and necessary skills to develop practice consistent with NP Practice Standards along with demonstrated skills in the delivery of clinical education and commitment to ongoing professional and educational development of others, with commitment to own professional development and currency of practice.
