Join a global manufacturing and distribution business in Sydney's South West as their demand planner, in a newly created role with the opportunity to bring your experience within supply chain and own the demand planning function for the business across the Australian market.
**Your new role**
In your current role as demand planner, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing effective forecasting models by analysis of previous sales figures and market trends, working with key internal stakeholders to anticipate demand fluctuations.
- Optimisation of inventory on hand, through analysis to ensure safety stock levels are maintained, to identify slow moving stock and minimise obsolescence by implementing inventory processes.
- Communicating supply chain issues across the wider team and collaborating with colleagues across multiple geographies to optimise the stock and sales forecasting function business wide.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience in a demand planning role, with relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a proven record of forming strong working relationships with cross-functional team members across sales, marketing, finance etc.
- High-level systems skills, with previous ERP experience and intermediate-advanced MS Excel.
- The ability to occasionally work flexible hours to attend meetings with the global teams.
