Job Title: Senior Fire Management Officer
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our Fire Management Team as a Senior Fire Management Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing teams in the planning and delivery of bushfire mitigation and preparedness activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire management principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. You will work closely with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives, while also developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage teams in the planning and delivery of bushfire mitigation and preparedness activities
* Develop and implement effective fire management strategies and plans
* Provide technical advice and guidance to team members and stakeholders
* Maintain accurate records and reports related to fire management activities
Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, natural resource management, or a related field
* Registration under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011
* Nationally recognised qualifications in bushfire suppression and fire management
* Current manual drivers licence
Desirable Qualifications:
* Nationally accredited chainsaw qualifications
* Nationally accredited four wheel drive qualifications
* A current First Aid Certificate
Selection Criteria:
