We are an organisation that enjoys consistent and rapid growth, offering our employees secure employment, career progression and a safe work environment that encourages and brings out the best in our people.Your new roleAs the Operations Supervisor at the Cairns Hire Yard, you will lead a small team in preparing and returning Ausco Hire Fleet assets. Your role ensures products meet customer and internal standards, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.Responsibilities are split 50/50 between hands on maintenance work and team management, both key to maintaining our operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the highest quality standards in the preparation of hire fleet assets, aligning with both customer specifications and internal requirements.Schedule and manage production and deliverables of buildings within agreed timeframes.Complete testing, checking, and preparation of ancillary equipment for re-hire. Identify and conduct necessary repairs and retrofits, ensuring all assets are thoroughly inspected prior to dispatch.Maintain accurate documentation for all incoming and outgoing assets.Supervise, train, and motivate a small team, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement and high performance. Address employee relations matters, including scheduling, training, and performance management.Comply with all HSEQ guidelines, report incidents or hazards, and ensure that all operations adhere to safety and environmental standards.Manage resources efficiently to meet business objectives, ensuring that operations remain within budgetary constraints, including supplier and contractor management.Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, and procedures.Maintain confidentiality and uphold the company's values and standards.Skills, Qualifications & Experience:Current Driver's LicenceComputer literacy in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating small teamsStrong planning and time management skillsCurrent Forklift (High Risk) LicenceAbility to safely use hand tools and perform maintenance tasksKnowledge of the modular building, construction, or resource industryTraining RequirementThe candidate must be prepared to travel to Townsville for an initial period of training of approximately 2 weeks, covered by Ausco.
