Our large NSW State Government client provides a diverse range of essential services to reduce criminal activity and enhance protection of the community.
**About the role**
They are currently seeking a Communications Officer to join their team in Parramatta. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend.
Working within the Communications Branch, you will be responsible for producing communications content across a variety of formats to deliver the Departments marketing and communications strategy whilst informing and influencing the community and upholding the Departments reputation
In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties:
- Develop and implement communications activities
- Deliver communications projects such as status updates, logistics, budgets, resource, project plans and reporting
- Conduct research, gather and collate information
- Identify key target audiences for all Departments communication programs
- Create and deliver high quality, evidence-based messages to raise awareness to targeted audiences
- Draft and manage high quality and consistent communication content across a variety of platforms including websites, social media and printed material
- Produce digital communications content including engaging video's
- Provide advice and technical support across Ministerial and Communications Services
- Ensure communications and marketing material aligns with company policy and standards
**About You**
To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following:
- Demonstrated Communications experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or an equivalent field
- Community Services or Public Sector experience, highly advantageous
- Impeccable communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional writing skills, developing creative, enticing and engagement content
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
