The role
Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across NSW/ACT and QLD. This role is a Refrigeration/HVAC Technician at RAAF Base Amberley, where you will help maintain essential Defence infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled, preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration, air‐conditioning and HVAC systems.
- Carry out refrigerant handling in accordance with ARCTick licensing obligations.
- Provide professional and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with other trades and subcontracts to support operational delivery.
What You'll Bring
- Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- ARCTick Refrigerant Handling licence (desirable).
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence (QLD).
- Post‐trade experience in refrigeration, air‐conditioning and HVAC maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise in fault diagnosis and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Current Open Drivers Licence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory).
