their families. We are seeking a compassionate and professional DVA Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting clients with psychosocial disabilities, possess excellent communication skills, and embrace ongoing learning and development.
Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care, including hygiene and grooming, tailored to the needs of veterans and their families.
* Provide emotional and practical support to clients
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
* Develop and implement individual support plans in consultation with clients and their families
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and provide reports as required
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, psychologists, and social workers
* Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
* Proven experience with DVA clients
* Experience in aged care, personal care, or similar roles is highly valuedli>
* Certificate IV in Disability Support or Individual Support (or equivalent).
* Ability to work flexible hours, including shorter shifts
* Willingness to travel between shifts and work at various locations
* Updated Certificates (e.g., First Aid and CPR, etc.)
* Valid Australian driver's license and access to own reliable transportation
