Job Title: Senior Transmission Project Manager
We're seeking a seasoned transmission project manager to lead the construction of high-voltage substations and overhead transmission lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Lead and oversee the end-to-end construction process, including planning, execution, outages, and close-out.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
* Scheduling and Budgeting: Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
* Safety and Compliance: Enforce and monitor strict safety protocols and environmental compliance, adapting risk management strategies for high-voltage work.
* Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, progress, and adherence to standards.
* Conflict Resolution: Resolve on-site issues proactively and facilitate conflict resolution between team members and subcontractors.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 15 years of experience in power distribution, generation, or heavy civils construction, with at least 5 years in management roles, preferably in high-voltage substations or similar projects.
* Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
* Proven knowledge of high-voltage substation construction methods, materials, and regulatory standards.
* Strong understanding of OHS and environmental legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Relevant construction safety certifications and a valid Construction Card.
