We are looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to prepare and serve high-quality meals in a busy, welcoming kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food to meet our high-quality standards. You will work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while contributing to a fun and team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items, according to recipes and quality standards
* Inspect and ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients
* Regulating cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
* Season, portion, and plate dishes with appropriate sauces and garnishes
* Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
* Ensure food storage and preparation areas are clean and sanitized
* Store ingredients safely in temperature-controlled facilities
* Assist with menu planning and estimating ingredients requirement
* Assist with inventory management
* Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure customer satisfaction
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications
* Formal qualification
* Proven experience as a Cook in a busy cafe/restaurant kitchen
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
