About The Role And Team
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced commercial litigation lawyer, at Senior Associate or Special Counsel level, to join our market-leading Private Clients practice, based in our Perth office.
Our Private Clients section is comprised of approximately 45 team members nationally and is led by award-winning and industry-leading partners and senior lawyers with extensive experience.
This role suits a Senior Associate or Special Counsel with solid experience in commercial litigation with a desire to develop their experience and expertise in wills, trusts, estate and equity litigation, and who has a genuine interest in contributing to the success and growth of our top ranked private clients litigation practice. You will be involved in large and complex wills, trusts, estate, equity and commercial litigation in the Supreme Court of WA (and other jurisdictions), including interstate and international matters.
About You
You will ideally have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
* minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, including (but not required) experience in estate, wills, trust and equity litigation;
* experience in the day-to-day management of files, and in running matters through court proceedings;
* are proactive and able to work autonomously and as part of a team;
* excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills with a keen attention to detail;
* excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* experience in, and a willingness to, supervise and mentor junior members of the team; and
* the ability to organise and prioritise effectively.
