Role Overview UMENCO is recruiting a Production Coordinator to become an integral part of a contemporary womenswear brand celebrated for its effortless, minimalistic aesthetic, truly the essence of understated luxury.
Reporting directly to the Creative Director, this role oversees the full production and sampling process, ensuring collections are executed to the highest standards of quality, delivered on time and aligned with margin requirements.
This is a technical and commercial role that demands precision, organisation and strong communication skills.
From managing proto, SMS, PPS and TOP samples through to liaising with makers, factories and internal teams, the successful talent will play a pivotal role in ensuring consistency, quality and timelessness.
Responsibilities span tech pack creation, fit sessions, sample tracking and troubleshooting construction issues, as well as supporting marketing and showroom handovers.
Beyond sampling, the position encompasses production, sourcing and raw materials management.
The Production Coordination will negotiate with suppliers, raise and manage purchase orders, track WIP and inventory and oversee approvals for lab dips, strike-offs and bulk production.
Financial acumen is equally important, as you will support costings, margin management and reporting, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or brand standards.
The ideal talent will bring at least three years of experience in production, sourcing or product development within fashion, alongside a strong technical knowledge of fabrics and trims.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel and ERP/PLM systems is essential, as are strong project management and problem-solving skills.
