Marine Technical Superintendent
About the role:
This role will be required to collaboratively work with the onboard Marine Engineers to ensure the standard of vessel maintenance is upheld and aligned with the Lifecycle Asset Management Plan.
What will you be doing:
* Responsible for the day-to-day management of vessel's material states, monitoring of preventative maintenance plans, defect troubleshooting and provision of technical advice
* Coordination of contractors
* Liaison with Classification Society and AMSA surveyors
* Supporting project managers with planning and undertaking of vessel survey periods and dockings
* Liaison and support to vessel engineers
* Planning and management of short in-water vessel lay ups,
* Management, control and reporting of allocated repair and maintenance budgets
* Using the Enterprise Asset Management system to plan, order, report, record and analyse equipment and vessel maintenance
Skills & experience:
* Trade / Tertiary qualification in a naval architecture, mechanical, electro-mechanical or marine engineering disciplines
* Demonstrated ability in Marine field
* Current driver’s licence, First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, Passport and Safety Leadership Certification
* Demonstrated ability in managing a team to achieve desired outputs
* Experience in maritime asset or marine systems management
