About the Role
We are seeking a driven and capable project engineer to support the delivery of brownfield projects at an alumina smelter in Portland, Victoria.
This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, while supporting key project control functions including cost, schedule, quality, risk and information management.
Working closely with the project delivery manager, site teams and Alcoa stakeholders, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and executing multiple projects across a live operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the safe and cost‐effective delivery of brownfield projects across the site
* Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules and cost estimates
* Monitor project performance across cost, schedule and quality metrics
* Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project outcomes
* Manage scope changes, procurement activities and project reporting requirements
* Partner with site supervisors and engineering teams to plan and deliver work efficiently
* Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and project management systems
* Engage with key stakeholders to support planning, reviews and delivery strategies
About You
* Degree‐qualified engineer (or equivalent trades‐based experience)
* Proven experience delivering brownfield projects in a live operational environment
* Strong understanding of project controls including cost, schedule, forecasting and reporting
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work fronts simultaneously
* Solid communication and coordination skills across site and project teams
* Proactive, solutions‐focused approach with a strong commitment to safety
