Six Degrees have partnered with a market leader in the outdoor and adventure vehicle accessories space. They are based in Eastern Creek, NSW.We are looking for a Fitment Engineer who will work alongside the R&D team to fit, experiment with and test new products on newly released vehicles. In this role the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of engineering principles as well as being good with their hands.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with product development teams to design and develop fitments for product range, ensuring compatibility with various products and models.Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate fitment considerations into the overall product development process.Provide technical expertise and insights to support the development of innovative adventure and travel products.Plan Fitment and vehicle data acquisition activities.Plan and prepare for fitment activities.Perform vehicle fitments3D scan vehicles and componentsAnalyse new vehicles for fitment compatibility and strategiesRemove trims and other vehicle components and document the process.Capture & document fitment information.Build relationships with vehicle supply network (dealers, etc). The successful candidate will have:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldProven hands-on experience with vehicle or outdoor equipment fitmentExperience with planning and scheduling workStrong understanding of vehicle systems and construction.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.Driver's licence.
