Staff Specialist Anaesthetics, Queensland Health
Join Darling Downs Health as a Staff Specialist in Anaesthetics and make a real impact in patient care at Toowoomba Hospital. You'll work across diverse clinical settings, including eight operating theatres, high dependency and intensive care units, and contribute to over 2,000 deliveries annually—all while leading innovation and education in a supportive team environment.
You'll deliver safe, high‑quality anaesthesia and acute pain services while collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team across operating theatres, intensive care, and maternity. Your role includes providing expert clinical advice, mentoring junior doctors, and contributing to education and research initiatives. You'll also lead improvements in care processes and participate in clinical governance to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $381,337 (L18) up to $476,304 (L27) comprising salary rates between $103.79 (L18) and $131.60 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
