Overview
Bentley Park College, located in Far North Queensland, is a vibrant and inclusive educational community committed to fostering student success and wellbeing. This temporary full‑time position is available until December 2026 and supports children and families in transitioning into school, establishing positive attendance patterns, and accessing vital support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to identify student needs and connect families with relevant services.
- Support vulnerable children and families, including those from diverse and complex backgrounds.
- Build family capacity to support their child's learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Facilitate connections between families and external government and non‑government support services.
- Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of support measures and improve student outcomes.
About You
- Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations communities.
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with families, staff, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of local service providers and community supports.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using data to inform decision‑making and measure outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements
- A current Working with Children Check clearance (Blue Card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- A current driver's licence.
- Willingness to work some after‑hours as required.
- Willingness to travel as required.
