Occupational Therapist Role
This position focuses on providing holistic therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation to individuals with disabilities and complex needs.
The Occupational Therapist is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing and maintaining a therapeutic environment that encourages participation and engagement from people in care.
This involves providing specialized occupational assessments, individualized therapy plans, and treatment to increase functional capacity, including emotion regulation skills, living skills, and social skills.
About the Job
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
* Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
* Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop strategies for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and therapy sessions.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by OT Australia – Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
* Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
