Our client is a global food manufacturing business with a fantastic workplace culture. They have relocated their head office operations to Melbourne, seeking an experienced candidate to lead their payroll function as a standalone role.
The company plans to tender for a new payroll system, making this a unique opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to gain valuable experience and take the next step in their career.
Key details of the role include:
* Processing end-to-end payroll for approximately 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand.
* Maintaining the accuracy of payroll records through quality control audits.
* Managing new employee information, accounts, and employee data systems, including payroll records and files.
* Providing guidance on updates to awards, policies, and legislation.
* Attending education sessions on payroll legislation updates.
* Interpreting new legislation impacting payroll.
* Overseeing system implementation across Australia and New Zealand.
We are looking for experienced payroll professionals with strong end-to-end experience and a passion for compliance and continuous improvement.
Desirable skills include:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Previous experience with NZ payroll is beneficial but not essential.
