Child and Family Practitioner Role Overview
This role is responsible for providing skilled support and supervision to foster carers and children in care.
The position involves developing individualised care plans, prioritising the protection and well-being of children, and working with government agencies and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
* Developing casework practice that focuses on the needs of each child and family
* SUPPORTING AND SUPERVISING FOSTER CARERS TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOMES FOR CHILDREN IN CARE
* Providing ongoing support and supervision through regular home visits and telephone calls
Key Requirements:
* A recognised degree qualification in Social Work or Psychology (or similar)
* Significant experience in child protection and out-of-home care, working with individuals, families, and communities from a strength-based perspective
* Current driver's licence, ability to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant)
