Job title: Aftermarket Defense Bids and Proposal Manager - APAC - Based in Australia

- Customer Facing & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive and seamless customer experience.
- Bid Strategy and Planning: Analyze client needs and market trends to position the company's offer strategically.
- Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with CX internal teams, such as Smart Services, Customer Support, Technical Support, Technical Publications, Trade Sales, Finance and Legal to gather input for the proposal.
- Proposal Development and Content Creation : Ensure that the proposal includes a compelling value proposition, differentiators, and any required technical or financial details.
- Financial and Pricing Strategy : Ensure pricing aligns with company goals, covers all necessary costs, and reflects an understanding of the market and client budget.
- Review and Quality Assurance :Implement internal approval processes to gain necessary sign-offs from senior management
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement : Communicate with the client or contracting organization to clarify requirements or discuss aspects of the proposal if allowed.
- Proposal Presentation: Present proposal to customer in support of Bombardier Aircraft Sales team and present tailored Smart Services Defense offerings.
- Contract execution : Ensure completion of Due Diligence and Credit Application and Contract signature.
- Lead post-submission debriefs to analyze proposal outcomes, identify strengths and weaknesses, and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
**How to thrive in this role?**:
- You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering;
- You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in engineering or technical program management at Bombardier Aerospace, and/or equivalent engineering activities related to Bombardier aircraft;
- You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the an Air Force, Navy or Army
- You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in proposal and/or project management;
- You are a team player with initiative and excellent communication skills;
- You have excellent customer-facing skills and experience are required;
- You have the ability to effectively negotiate in-line with business objectives;
- You are able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively while working toward aggressive deadlines;
- You have a strong technical knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems and special mission equipment;
- You have knowledge of CGR, ITAR and previous experience in government and military flight operations exposure would be considered an asset;
- You may be required to travel and work extended hours when required;
- You are eligible to view and handle CGR material as well as be able to obtain a NATO Secret security clearance (as required).
