We are now looking to add to our finance team with a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Director of Finance to play a pivotal role in the financial leadership of our hotel. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll support all aspects of the hotel's financial performance — from forecasting and budgeting to compliance and internal controls — with a strong focus on driving business insights, streamlining processes, and supporting operational excellence across the property.
You will play a hands-on role in the business helping to establish financial policies, set up systems and reporting frameworks, build the finance team. This role is perfect for someone who is not just technically strong, but who understands the importance of financial leadership in delivering a seamless, guest-first hospitality experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Director of Finance in all financial planning and reporting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and brand standards.
Assist in the design and implementation of financial systems, SOPs, and internal control frameworks during the pre-opening phase.
Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, audit processes, and brand standards.
Oversee accounts payable/receivable, revenue audit, payroll, purchasing, and inventory control.
Support audits and liaise with external stakeholders as required.
What we need from you:
Must have full working rights
Opera or Opera cloud experience highly desirable
Strong understanding of financial reporting, systems, and hotel operational processes.
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/CA qualifications highly regarded).
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
A natural collaborator and mentor with strong communication and leadership capabilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment – especially during pre-opening.
