The role of a BreastScreen Radiographer is to deliver high-quality imaging services to women in the community.
About the Position
This position involves performing screening mammography on a regular basis. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team at Waratah BreastScreen, providing vital services to the local community.
We are seeking professionals with expertise in medical radiation science who can work collaboratively as part of our team. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in mammography or diagnostic radiography.
Responsibilities include performing screening mammograms, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the overall success of the program.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive support, including an orientation program, guidance from experienced colleagues, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
Requirements
* Female applicants must claim exemption under section 31 (2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act.
* Relevant qualifications in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent, including a Graduate Diploma of Mammography or Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP), or willingness to complete.
* Registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner – Diagnostic Radiographer (General or Mammography registration) with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia where required.
* Current EPA IA 14M/ IA 14 radiation license.
* Valid NSW driver's license.
* Able to work away from home for up to 6 days at a time.
