About the role
You will work closely with the Head of Assessment to undertake the collection, validation and analysis of student assessment data to support student progress and ongoing quality improvement of the School's MD assessment program.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertaking item analysis, including calculating the standard set pass mark, Cronbach's alpha and corrected total-item correlations, which provide key metrics for evaluation of the assessment program.
* Generating reports, tables and graphs to support discussion regarding student progression throughout the program.
* Generating annual student progress reports and upload these to Blackboard for student retrieval.
* Generate student reports to support the 'students at risk' exam review sessions.
* Other duties as directed by the line manager, Dean of Medicine or delegate.
Qualifications, skills & experience
* Completion of a postgraduate degree, in a relevant field, or relevant postgraduate qualifications in a specialist area of medical practice.
* Experience performing longitudinal data analytics to combine multiple assessment tasks into one report to support the Board of Examiners.
* Experience in using data to develop objective and concise student progress reports.
* A capacity to work collaboratively with relevant staff to implement and maintain effective systems and processes for ensuring the quality delivery of the assessment program.
* Engagement in the scholarship of assessment practice to support quality improvement.
* An ability to foster relationships and communication with members of the assessment team and school academic staff to support implementation of the assessment program.
