As the Yardsman you will support the sales & warehouse teams in all aspects of delivering a quality service for customer purchases and maintain a tidy workplace in the warehouse.
Responsibilities
* Delivering excellent service to trades people and customers
* Maintain a safe work environment
* Find solutions for customers where possible and escalate any issues
* Stock Ordering
* Stock Control
* Dispatch (pick & pack) of orders/deliveries
* Receival of orders/deliveries
* Loading and unloading of truck/s
* Yard Maintenance
* Communication with staff, customers & management
* Take direction and show initiative
* Attention to detail of codes
* Selling the Company's products and services
* Complete all paperwork relating to sales & warehouse work areas
* Driving a Forklift an advantage (licence required)
Knowledge, experience and attributes sought
* Sound understanding of the materials and building industry
* Previous experience in similar role
* Ability to build rapport with customers
* Be able to communicate delays in delivery of products and orders
* Physically fit to be able to pass a pre-employment medical as required
* Exceptional work ethic
* Ability to work independently and within in a team.
* Ability to take directions and execute them.
* Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with some Saturday work
