About the Role We are currently looking for an Analyst to join our Brisbane Deal Advisory team.
You would be joining a large multi-disciplinary deal advisory team of around 35 professionals.We promote a collaborative environment where our team members are encouraged to participate in a diverse range of deal advisory engagements, spanning corporate finance, valuation, due diligence, financial modelling, mergers and acquisitions, as well as infrastructure advisory.At BDO, exceptional client service underpins our belief system and all aspects of service delivery to our clients.

Key responsibilities include: Analysing company operations and financial statements Completing industry research Using research facilities including Capital IQ to identify comparable companies and calculate relevant valuation metrics (including normalisation adjustments, as appropriate) Constructing, reviewing and amending financial models Applying valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow, capitalised maintainable earnings and option pricing models Writing reports in Word and PowerPoint Assisting with transaction management, including populating and maintaining data rooms Communicating with clients and other transaction advisors to progress engagements About You 1+ years of experience in a professional services firm (in an area such as deal advisory/corporate finance, audit or business services) or a relevant commercial role Commercial acumen The ability to analyse and interpret financial statements (e.g. Annual Reports) to enable: + conclusions to be formed on the financial performance and financial position of a company; and + normalisation adjustments to be applied to compare financial performance across similar entities Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable results to be communicated concisely The ability to devise solutions to abstract problems that have no precedent The ability to identify knowledge gaps and work with senior staff to develop strategies to plug these gaps A genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service and utilising your unique skills A cover letter that clearly explains why you believe you have the skills needed to succeed in this role and an understanding of BDO's Deal Advisory teamWorking for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
