We're seeking a motivated individual who thrives on helping others for a full‐time ongoing role based at our Fitzroy site.
You'll be supported by a team of coaches, mentors and counsellors. Together, we can make a positive change in the lives of others.
Kickstart your career with Workskil Australia. We'll provide comprehensive training and help you achieve a Certificate IV in Employment Services or Community Services within the first 12 months on the job.
Key Responsibilities
Your day‐to‐day can include the following:
* Assisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges
* Delivering coaching to improve employability skills, confidence and career planning
* Preparing quality resumes, cover letters and supporting the job application process
* Finding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalf
* Referring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counselling
* Providing additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment
* Documenting customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems
About You
You'll be a great fit for the team if you have a passion and drive for helping others. You will be self‐motivated, inclusive and open‐minded, and willing to listen and support without judgement. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Working independently and as part of a team
* Ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs
* Strong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook
* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
* Meeting a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
Applicants with previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded.
