Job Description
Office Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States
SCOPE/CONTACTS: Incumbent is responsible for providing secondary market mortgage loans to consumers. The incumbent has extensive contacts on a daily basis with Bank customers and personnel as well as outside contact with real estate brokers, builders, title companies, private mortgage insurance companies, attorneys and other related entities to ensure a competitive product that meets the customer's needs.
Essential Functions
1. Proactively solicits new prospects for residential mortgage secondary market loans through contacts and referrals with Bank customers, real estate brokers, builders, title companies, private mortgage insurance companies, attorneys and other related entities;
2. Conducts interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data to determine customer financing objectives;
3. Advises customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines and gathers any additional required information;
4. Develops and maintains a network of personal and business relationships as a source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities;
5. Ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements;
6. Demonstrates a commitment to professional ethics;
7. Participates in job-specific training and other bank training programs as required;
8. Complies with all Federal and State Laws and Regulations including BSA, AML and all bank policies and procedures;
9. Other duties as assigned;
10. Supports the sales and service culture, organizational values, and adheres to bank policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent;
2. Two years of mortgage loan experience and one year of real estate/sales experience;
3. Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in real estate or finance may substitute experience;
4. Knowledge of mortgage lending laws/regulations and procedures;
5. Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA regulations and guidelines;
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related applications;
7. Ability to work with limited supervision;
8. Professional demeanor with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
