About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Personal Banker to join our team, who will be responsible for managing personal lending portfolios, providing expert advice on home loan retention, and offering tailored solutions to meet customers' needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to build strong relationships, assist customers in achieving their financial goals, and make a significant impact within a leading community-owned financial institution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Interaction: Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, services, and lending policies, ensuring a seamless experience.
2. Loan Management: Manage personal lending responsibilities, including writing and recommending personal loans to meet customer needs.
3. Retention and Solutions: Retain existing lending members by identifying and recommending tailored solutions, and manage the retention process effectively.
4. Discharge Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all discharge-related needs and facilitate the discharge process.
5. Outbound Calling: Engage with customers through the CRM to maintain relationships and ensure quality interactions.

Requirements:
1. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for resolving conflicts or problems effectively.
2. Sales and Negotiation: Proven experience in lending sales, business development, and negotiation.
3. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to guide and motivate others.
4. Financial Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of lending and insurance products. Experience in managing loan portfolios would be advantageous.
5. Certifications: ASIC Tier II Accreditation is required, along with a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (or a willingness to obtain).
6. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and other IT programs.
