Work in a senior position on the snowy hydro project in Cooma leading your team to success

Your new company is an Australian founded, multinational business that manufactures and supplies building and construction materials. This business is an industry leader and has been operational for over 75 years and operates at over 700 sites globally.
**Your new role**
In this role you will be required to work as part of the Cooma based team to supervise and manage a small team of concrete and quarry product technicians as well as taking part in sampling and testing of materials as well to deliver on the Snowy Hydro Project.. You will report directly to the Laboratory Manager and work on oversee the day to day operations of the onsite laboratory including calibrating lab equipment, allocate field-testing jobs and lab work to the team as well as ensuring safety requirements and maintenance needs are met according to procedures and regulations. This position will operate on a 2 weeks on 1 week off roster, including 12 hour shifts and some night shifts required.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will need;
- Previous Concrete or Quarry laboratory testing (essential).
- Nata signatory for Concrete or Aggregates tests (essential).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline e.g. Civil, Chemical or Materials - (desirable but not essential).
- Well developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data (especially with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc).
- Management experience, an ability to compete with competing priorities and deadlines, as well as a commitment to safety and quality.
- Experience in the fly in/fly out roster experience would be an advantage
