About the Role:
The Senior Psychologist plays a key leadership role in the hEP program, guiding clinicians to deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions. They provide supervision, training, and consultation to support staff in applying therapies like CBT, trauma-informed care, family-inclusive approaches, and other recovery-focused modalities.
In addition to supporting the team, the Senior Psychologist directly works with young people with complex presentations, providing specialist assessment and intervention. They help shape service delivery, contribute to workforce development, and ensure care aligns with best-practice standards. The role requires both autonomous decision-making and collaborative teamwork, driving excellence in early psychosis care and supporting the recovery journey of young people and their families.
Experience Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience of working within a mental health service, preferably with young people in group setting.
* Demonstrated experience using a case management model in a mental health setting with clinical expertise around assessment and engagement.
* Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
* Registration as a psychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act Practice endorsement or eligibility to enter a registrar program as a clinical/clinical neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
* Registration to practice as a supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia
* Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
* Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
