Automation Developer
Salary: $113,574 – $125,720 base + superannuation
Employment: Temporary, up to 24 months, 35 hour working week (hybrid flex)
About the role
The Automation Developer sits within the Intelligent Process Automation team in the Strategy & Innovation function. Join a mature, award‐winning automation practice to design, build and deploy Blue Prism automations that reduce manual effort and improve outcomes for customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and deploy end‐to‐end Blue Prism automations across the full delivery lifecycle (discovery to hypercare).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements and maintain delivery artefacts (process maps, PDD/SDD, test evidence).
- Develop and support Blue Prism digital workers using best‐practice design standards (objects, processes, exception handling, logging) and reusable components.
- Contribute to solution architecture, technical standards and reusable components; participate in code reviews and peer collaboration.
- Support production automations (Control Room) – scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Actively contribute to a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing and automation maturity.
- Occasional attendance at the head office in Parramatta.
About You
To be successful you will have:
- At least 3 years' hands‐on experience as a Blue Prism developer delivering production automations end‐to‐end.
- Strong Blue Prism development skills (processes/objects, Work Queues, credentials, environment variables, schedules, exception handling) and familiarity with SS&C best practices.
- Understanding of enterprise RPA delivery and support (development standards, release practices, support handover, incident/problem management).
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Nice to have: exposure to complementary technologies such as OCR/ICR, document understanding, AI, chatbots, virtual agents or human‐in‐the‐loop automation.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, computer science, business or equivalent practical experience.
