About the Role
As Head Chef, you will:
* Lead a single-site production and service kitchen, delivering first-class dining experiences
* Design seasonal menus that highlight fresh produce, flavours, and thoughtful plating
* Bring joy to residents through daily meals, themed events, and interactive culinary moments
* Elevate every dish - including texture-modified and specialist diets - with skill, creativity, and pride
* Balance compliance with creativity, meeting Aged Care Standard 6 requirements (training and ongoing support provided if you are new to the aged care)
* Collaborate with clinical, lifestyle, leadership, and executive teams to deliver truly resident-centred food experiences
* Foster a kitchen culture of care, pride, and continuous refinement - mentoring your team as professionals
* Engage directly with residents to understand their preferences and bring warmth, dignity, and connection to every plate
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a Head Chef who leads with purpose - someone who sets the tone, holds the standard, and brings meaning to their work.
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, with several years in professional kitchens known for food quality, presentation, and team performance or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with 5+ years of experience in structured, high-performing kitchen brigades known for food quality, presentation, and team performance
* A chef who understands plating, flavour, and hospitality - and never serves anything average
* A detail-oriented, innovative mindset - especially in adapting meals without compromising taste or visual appeal
* A calm, capable leader who brings professionalism, courtesy and kindness with accountability to the kitchen
* A willingness to work in a regulated care environment - with the vision to make food the highlight of every resident's day
