This role will oversee the organisation's risk management framework, focusing on Risk and Controls, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, and Non-Financial Risk Management. It reports to the Head of Business Risk, Compliance, and Assurance within Wealth and Personal Banking. You will serve as a leader within WPB, projecting professionalism and competence aligned with HSBC’s values and behaviors.
Your main responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and reporting on risk exposure, ensuring accurate and timely regulatory submissions.
* Overseeing new regulatory policies and procedures as a SME, supporting risk management.
* Identifying, assessing, and managing non-financial risks, including operational, reputational, and compliance risks.
* Promoting risk awareness among WPB non-financial risk role-holders to minimize risks and ensure effective controls in the First Line of Defence.
* Evaluating and improving existing processes and controls.
