About this role Are you a systems expert looking to make a meaningful impact in healthcare? Central Highlands Rural Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior System Administrator to support our hybrid on-premises and Microsoft 365 infrastructure. As a key member of the IT team, you'll play a vital role in managing and securing the systems that underpin our clinical and corporate operations across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role offering a mix of technical leadership, project delivery, and advanced support in a highly collaborative environment. What You'll Do Lead administration of Microsoft 365 services including Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Maintain core on-premises systems: Active Directory, Windows Server, Citrix (remote access), and SQL Server. Manage user lifecycle, endpoint security, and compliance across cloud and on-prem systems. Support system upgrades, patching, backup, and disaster recovery processes. Monitor infrastructure performance, resolve complex incidents, and provide Level 3 technical support. Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls aligned with the Essential Eight and ISO 27001. Contribute to IT projects and mentor junior team members. What You'll Bring Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior system administrator or infrastructure role. Deep understanding of Microsoft 365, especially Azure AD, Intune, and Exchange Online. Strong skills in managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Citrix. Experience with SQL Server and managing enterprise backups. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Details of Appointment: Permanent position, working 76 Hours per fortnight Salary: HS5 $46.99 per hour superannuation About CHRH: Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019. Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
