Job Description
Epworth Geelong is seeking an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This part‐time role (26.6 hours per week) provides advanced clinical care and leadership in a fast‐paced environment, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Provide holistic care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prescription of medications within scope of practice.
* Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
* Provide education and mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate nurses, other health professionals, patients, families and groups.
Qualifications
* Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum 3 years experience in an advanced nursing role and 5 years recent experience in Emergency Nursing.
* Demonstrated clinical expertise in Emergency Nursing.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with peers and superiors.
* Demonstrated willingness to teach and mentor.
* NMBA approved Nurse Practitioner qualification at Master's Level or equivalent.
* Nurse Practitioner Medicare provider number and prescriber number (desirable).
