Role Overview
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll be a supporter, a strategist, a behaviour detective and occasionally the person who teaches everyone to breathe again after a breakout.
Responsibilities
* Evaluating, developing & delivering evidence-based support plans
* Creating meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support framework
* Building capacity in the people who support participants, families, carers, friends and support workers
* Working alongside a brilliant multidisciplinary team
* Championing the reduction (and elimination) of restrictive practices
Qualifications
* Have a degree in OT, Speech Pathology, Social Work or similar
* Live within a 10 min radius of either Melton or Werribee
* Have experience reading, creating, implementing or reviewing behaviour support plans
* Hold NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner status (suitable, core, proficient, advanced or specialist)
* Do NOT hold a BSP registration? It's ok, we can help you get there!
* Have a genuine passion for disability support
* Have experience working with challenging behaviours
* Love working with humans AND love writing (yes, there will be paperwork)
