The role is to provide mechanical maintenance services in a team environment and autonomously on plant equipment.
This opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Maintenance Fitter at our site. You will be able to apply your technical expertise working with great opportunities for development and advancing your skills on heavy industry machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and committing to safety, quality, and the environment.
* Carrying out mechanical repairs with emphasis on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance.
* Identifying critical spares.
* Completing administrative tasks within the maintenance planning system.
* Focusing on continuous improvement ideas.
Requirements:
* Trade qualified (Mechanical Fitter).
* Vehicle license and High Risk license including Forklift, EWP.
* Competent at basic oxy/acetylene gas, MIG/TIG welding repairs, and fabrication.
* Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
* Computer literacy, requiring experience using maintenance planning system, SAP preferred.
* A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual.
* A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility.
* Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision.
