Primary objective
Provide quality administrative duties and technical support within the Joint Emergency Communications Centre (JESCC)
whilst supporting the operational frontline actioning requests for evidentiary material including telephony recordings and
event chronologies.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide high-level office administration and technological support to the JESCC Superintendent, Officer in Charge (OIC)
and Assistant Director.
2. Provide timely support to operational frontline, actioning requests for evidentiary material including telephone
recordings.
3. Responsible for the management of the JESCC Administration Outlook calendar, ensuring audits, meetings and other
administrative tasks are managed to a professional standard
4. Provide timely and effective liaison with key internal and external stakeholders, including Department of Corporate and
Digital Development (DCDD), Telstra and other Service Providers to resolve technology-related issues impacting JESCC
operations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
5. Ensure equipment is maintained in accordance with safety and operational standards to reduce technological faults and
promote a safe working environment.
6. Review and process invoices, ensuring accurate approval, system entry and cost code allocation.
7. Maintain information integrity by ensuring accuracy of all data recorded, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level administration experience, including advanced MS Office or Office 360 skills and experience.
2. Demonstrated experience in using computer systems, database applications and Records Management Systems.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated discretion and sound judgement.
4. Demonstrated high-level organisational and time management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse
range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior staff and other service providers.
5. Demonstrated high-level of attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive
information appropriately.
6. Self-motivation and initiative with the ability to work to a high professional standard with minimal supervision within a
multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
1. Previous experience working within an Emergency Call Centre environment.
