The Job Opportunity
You will lead in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective management of corporate financial activities. You will optimize financial processes, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the company's overall financial health and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts, branch variance analysis and commentary. Lead monthly result meetings with branch managers and regional managers.
* General ledger Management.
* Provide Audit Support.
* Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function to increase efficiency and accuracy.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting process.
* Ensure strong internal controls and compliance frameworks are in place and are followed.
* Mentor and support accountants and other finance staff.
* Support compliance with GST, PAYG, FBT and Income Tax Returns.
* Identify financial risks and recommend controls to mitigate potential impacts on the business.
* Contribute to digital finance transformation initiatives.

* Experience in managing general ledger Accounts, reconciliations and end of month/year closing processes.
* Knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations and corporate governance.
* Strong general journal acumen.
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
* CA/CPA qualified.
* Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Located in South East Melbourne.
* Immediate start.
